top 3: ways to practice mental and physical wellness

taking care of your mental and physical wellness can include things like meditation, just taking time out of your day to relax, or going on a walk with friends after work.  here are some ways that we work to ensure that we're practicing mental and physical wellness daily:  1. practice mindfulness mindfulness is a practice that can be done at any time and in any place. it's about being aware of your body, thoughts and surroundings in the present moment.  it's not about trying to control your thoughts or feelings; it's about observing them as they arise without judgement or criticism. when you're mindful, you see things as they are rather how you think they should be—and this helps reduce stress by removing unrealistic expectations from your life.  2. use aromatherapy  aromatherapy can be used to help with mental and physical wellness by reducing stress and anxiety levels. it can give you that relief you need to take on the busy day ahead of you or help you sleep better at night by relaxing your body before bedtime.  there are several different ways to use aromatherapy, but our favourite way to use aromatherapy is through topical rollers!  3. eat a balanced diet  eating well is one of the most important things you can do for your physical and mental health. ensuring that you’re consuming a well balanced diet (including vitamins, minerals and fibre) is a great way to boost your overall wellness. and while this might seem like the easiest way to boost your wellness, many can struggle to do this. did you know that 2.6 million Canadians are unable to provide themselves and their families with a balanced diet? at kuki we believe that a healthy, thriving community is essential. that's why $1 from each purchase will be donated to calgary meals on wheels to provide Canadians in need with the most basic necessity: a healthy meal.
